Titans: Trigon

Here are some of my early Trigon illustrations from 2017 for the TV series Titans season 1.
Going through old work and wanted to share this guy. I had explored a lot of options, not all of them worked but it led me to this design here. Some were more humanistic and some were more beastly/demonic.
Andy Clement and his talented crew at Creative Character Engineering made a beautiful sculpture from the concept art I provided. They designed the really cool armor and came up with the creepy awesome hooved feet. We weren't sure if they were going to execute him through practical prosthetic make-up (that's what we were hoping for!) or if he was just going to be CG. They went CG....
