TRON:ARES Kevin Flynn

Greetings Users! This is the final and approved concept of Kevin Flynn for the film.
Thank you Costume Designers Christine Bieselin Clark and Alix Friedberg for bringing me on the concept team.
I was very grateful to be on
Joaching Ronning's amazing film production and help bring his vision of Kevin Flynn to life.
Jeff Bridges' incredible performance was exactly as I expected, Bravo! Flynn lives!
As a Tron fan, when I read in the script that we were going back into the original 1982 Grid, I couldn't contain myself.
Steven Lisberger's Kevin Flynn, an iconic cinematic hero, returning to the big screen...No pressure right?!
Getting the chance to conceptualize and illustrate the 1982-inspired retro look was a bucket list assignment for me.
Similar to Ares, a little under 100 concepts were explored as well as countless retro style "dot and via" Light-Lines.
Syd Mead's original concept art was a huge inspiration from his amazing Tron 1982 design work.
I'm ecstatic that I also got to do some development on his Identity Disc with Prop-Master Dean Eilertson and SUPER VIXEN props and discs were incredible

After doing A LOT of Kevin Flynn initial development with Costume Designer Christine, Alix and I worked on it some more to the finish.
As usual the Tron Costume dept made magic! Alix's team executed it flawlessly!
He literally and figuratively glows.
Assistant CDs Leigh Belle and Summer Dietz as well as the patternmakers and the build team didn't miss a detail. And if I missed anyone please add them

The movie was so much fun and I can't wait to watch it again!
