Moon Knight: Early Ultimate Khonshu design v1

Had a blast working on early designs for Ultimate Khonshu.
I'm thankful for the opportunity to jump in on Moon Knight.
This concept was done at an early development stage so different ideas were key.
It was imperative to show scale and how massive this guy could get.
Here I explored the idea of strength and power through opulence-an Ancient God who harnessed and channeled the divine power of moonlight.
Studying the elaborate clothing and jewelry of pharoahs and kings I was inspired by the luxurious textiles, ceremonial cloaks and shendyts and gold battle armor. I also researched the motifs in siltstone and artifacts, and the beautiful paintings and carvings seen in tombs, sarcophogi and jewelry.
It was super tricky to imagine what an "Ultimate" version of Khonshu would look like especially knowing how he appeared in the comics.
Again it was culturally important to me to incorporate religious symbols and hieroglyphics.
