Moon Knight: Early Moon Knight designs

This was my first time on Marvel's Visual Development Team.
I'm thankful for the opportunity to contribute ideas for Moon Knight's superhero look.
With these looks I was "unravelling" a way to show the idea of afterlife and mummification in Egyptian culture through the lens of the comics.
In these concepts I wanted to show how the superhero linens were wrapped in a ceremonial fashion.
I also thought it would be cool if his belt and the iconic crescent moon was actually a sacred amulet fastened to his chest. In the other idea the crescent Moon had been resting on his chest for thousands of years and removed leaving a clean imprint behind.
It was important to call attention to Khonshu and the iconic hood and cape with stylized religious symbols similar to how mummy cases were adorned to protect the dead.
Shout out to my Supervisor Rodney Fuentebella for bringing me on and leading the pack and Jackson Sze for the feedback and guidance.
So many talented artists on the team did such incredible work.
Contributing to the final approved suit design was Keith Christensen and Ryan Meinerding
well done!
